The Chinese Boxer
A rewatch. I think my original review was a little unfair. While I still don’t like Wang Yu as an actor, he does a decent job directing. There are quite a few sequences and flourishes that I think work well. And Lo Lieh is fantastic as the nearly feral Kitashima. The new bluray release also fixes a problem that plagued the early IVL DVDs – their ‘improved’ audio tracks full of random bird noise and other weird trash. Getting rid of that improves every movie.
